I was wondering if the EF air con hose will fit straight into an EL or will some modification be needed?

My air con hose is leaking and i was told if i was to get the EF hose it would need to be cut and modded to fit onto the EL....Only reason i ask as Ford dont sell the EL air con hose anymore
