If you need a hand when it comes time to do it Josh, I know how to do the rears off by heart. Took me less than an hour to do both sides.

The fronts are from memory, the same general design as the BA.

which are more or less the same as AU from memory, as the replacement shocks/springs i have for the ute are from a b series ute...
but that would be good, cause if i stuff it up i wont have a car to get to work with lol get the whole car done within about 2 hours :)

instead of doing the buttons near the icc screen, i was thinking of doing the screen surround so that the whole icc was the same. given the shape, would that be possible?

Absolutely! The top part around the screen separates from the rest of the facade, so completely do-able. The only thing I could see maybe being an issue is the rounded bit at the top. You might get a few crinkles and creases through it.
I still haven't worked out a way to get the vinyl to not crinkle or warp in some ungodly way over all those holes for the buttons in the front, and I've done it 3 times now :/
So expect the first time you do it to look dodgy man, but it will give you an idea of how good it can look! That's how I'm looking at mine :D

yeah thats alright, eventually the plan is to get a 3 gauge pod on top (similar to the ss inductions one).. so have to figure out where to draw the line. i might even end up doing the same as you... hmm not too sure now... have to have a bit more of a think about it.

and yeah, i think it will definitely take me a few goes at it... lol

I think the best method might be to place the whole piece of wrap over the top of the facade and heat it all over to get it nice and stretchy. Then work it into the holes for buttons while working the bubbles out and making sure it is nice and smooth against the curves etc.

Every time I've done it I slowly apply it bit by bit and work my way up the facade, probably why I end u with creases everywhere, because pushing it into the buttons pulls the whole wrap inwards to the center :/

Lots of learning to do!! :D

Possibly going to upload a video of the exhaust today so people can hear the sound of Y split twin tips ;)

My neighbours all decided today was the day to stay home and use power tools/ mow the lawns. You are all suburban uper middle class! Don't you have jobs to be at on a thursday?!

Anyway, hopefully I'll get a few minutes of quite later to record the video without any annoying background noise.
In the meantime I'm fixing some wiring up and getting the speakers hooked up to the amp again and I've just found the perfect settings for the subs. It sounds glorious

Actually my job has the benefit of about mid December to the end of January off ;)

I've lost track of what you were gonna do for audio, what was it again?
Because I've only got 3 amps, 4 speakers and 2 subs... That is a serious mess that has caused continuous headaches, so I feel your pain.
But distribution blocks, signal converters, high gauge wiring are all worth it for the quality in the end :)

i thought i had it good with 3 weeks off, you work for a school or something?

well mine is more or less the same as yours... the picture isnt mine, but its basically what im modelling mine off.
Image
(Not mine, its another members 'kick_ass_ford')

so 2 x 12" subs, 2 x mono's, 1 x 4ch (or maybe 2 x 2ch), 4 speakers... so i know what you mean about the mess, i havent even started yet and my head hurts :/
yeah i want to set it up right the first time so i dont have to do it all again if i even upgrade... so everything is going to be wired to terminals and everything, instead of being hard wired... shall be interesting. s**t forgot about line converters, thats about chunk of cash. its looking like just under $200 + wire + fuses + sub boxes + still need to get the 3 amps, door speakers, carpet... hmm ill be broke for a while to come yet, lucky i just become a third year apprentice TODAY YAY! pay rise! 8-)

I like your plan!
If I had the money and tools I would take the time to get my amps mounted nicely like that :/

What brands are you going with?

If you're gonna have your subs firing into the boot just watch out for the boot rattle it'll cause. I found out the hard way that the boot lid has a bit of metal inside that causes A LOT of noise. Not sure if some of that sound deadening stuff would fix it, but it would certainly help :)
Plus little rubber mounts under the number plate certainly help stop that irritating noise!

TheKrazeD, I am. For now :)
