I've already said it to ya Scaffy but awesome times mate. Glad to see your finally happy with the whole car in general. I think you just needed the shorter diff gears to compliment the larger cam that your using. I think i need to get myself a set now.

1.9 60ft's are awesome mate, amazing what a good slip of the clutch with some practise can do. Not sure if they'll get any lower than that but at 1.9 i'd be pretty damn happy.

Not sure what you'll be able to do about the lowish MPH. It seems about right though for the 270-280rwhp its making. Try sourcing a set of EL FTR's and try them out, worked wonders for me.

Also Jason (Schnoods) congrats on getting into the 13's mate.

All this talk about good times is making me want to take the ute down one last time ;)

Take the missus' car down Jeff! Reaction time is 1300 odd dollars.

Good work scaffy & schnoods. Sorry I couldn't join the E series V8 13 second forces last night. :( Funds didn't stretch that far.

Thanks heaps everyone. Jeff, I'm still not completely happy with the car. Lots of little things I need to get sorted. As far as performance in a straight line, yeah, I'm stoked. I've just got to sort drivability on the road now. She's a pretty grumpy old mole at the moment.

steveurban - the gears are great on the street. I haven't suffered from any extra fuel consumption at all. I do a lot of driving on hwys and freeways to work every day and it sits on 110 - 120 nicely. Through town I think it could have improved as I seem to have it in 5th more when travelling at 60 or 70...

I'd recomend them to anyone!

Well i was just down at Doms workshop where Scaffy's car was sitting undergoing some extractor repairs.
Found something to do with the engine that will be having a bad effect on those 1/4mile times and dyno readings, very dissapointing to see another silly mistake by the people who put it together. Although its an easy fix its something stupid that never should have happened.
I have informed Scaffy and he will be checking it out later with Dom, i will let Scaffy update from there.....

I'll be picking the car up tomorrow arvo, but it seems my throttle body is only opening to about 75%. I can't be f**k saying much more about it.

How easy a fix is it? I don't need to take it back there or anything do I?

Mines about the same too Scaffy, funny you should mention it.

The bloke that did my gearbox was mentioning it to me at the time as well.

Is there an adjuster?

I wouldn't have a clue, but I'd imagine that you couldn't just adjust it in and out, as that'd just open it up at idle? After thinking about it for a short while, wouldn't you have to modify the leverage of it? Bring the cable closer to the pivot point?

Has the ball been put in the wrong place?

Pete, I don't know as i haven't seen it yet. I've had to leave it there overnight and won't pick it up until tomorrow after work. I've not paid any attention to how the cable is attached before, but I'm guessing that the ball is at the end of the cable. Are there a few different positions it can be set to?
