Probably price/availability.

I got my carbon fibre one for less than a factory steel one.

And the real ones are hard to find, as everyone wants one.

pretty much right... i mean.. who sells a genuine item unless they smash their car..

steel one's go for crazy amounts at wreckers.. -a sydney wrecker wanted $1100 for a 2nd hand one...

cant beat $250.. lol

painting will be done asap..

haha, not bad. Your itching to get that warranty over no doubt. Go for a drive to melbourne and back. That should eat up a fair bit of it haha. Bonnet not yet painted?

monza cooler now installed.. looks great... not too hard to fit..

and my angel eye kit.... VVV-how to install..

finished!!!....

here's go's.....

1) went to "carmate" at villawood..
2) baught a $200 4 led angel eye kit.. 2x 4 inch rings 2x 6 inch rings..
3) removed the front bumper..
4) removed the crash protection egg grate style black plastic sh*t from the support bar..
5) four 10 mm bolts hold each head light.. unplugged the looms and put she came...
6) pre heated the oven to 80 degree's celcius..
7) popped each headlight in for 5 minutes.. (1 at a time)
8) pried the lenses off easily with 2 screw drivers.. rubber glue is super melty..
9) used an instant dry superglue that dries clear to glue the bottom of the ring to the chrome lense.. (gaffa tape holds them in their place while the glue is setting..)
10) pulled the angel eyes wires through the rubber boot that covers the "driving light globe)
11) 2 small holes were drilled in the back of the headlight to attach the "power box" that powers the angel eye's..
12) the box is 12v powered.. -i spliced the wires into the positve and negative wires that power the small parking lights.. -great for dusk/dawn driving with them on without having to have your headlights on..
13) solder'ed the spliced wire's and cover'ed them with electrical tape....
14) re-installed the headlights back into place..
15) re-installed the bumper back into place..

DONE... looks awesome!...
