Yeh just got dark grey sheepskins over the fronts haha. I'll get some black AU/BA seats in there one day, but I'm not paying the 500+ price tag you see on most sets, I can wait lol.

Looks f**k mint, the wheels suit really well. Some nice plates would set it off.

I still think they look too small really... :? Been thinking whitewalls would really help as the sidewall is a touch taller than standard as theyre 245/40s.
With the plates I dunno if I should get black n white or the forest green colour....

Right so I pretty much own the AU Tickford motor now so I'll be taking the head off shortly for some work.
Think I'll shave 30thou off the head, just clean up the ports and combustion chamber, then have some crow double valve springs fitted at the workshop, fit Rollmaster variable cam gear and a billet Camtech CT007 845 and then advance it 2degrees to drop the power range? Thoughts?
also just need to know if the EF/EL head bolts are the same as AU. Some list EA-AU on ebay while others EA-EL.

Sounds like a pretty good combo to me, although i must say the next cam up (842B) does sound like a winner too :). Going by your plan of advancing the timing, and your cam choice, im guessing you want a cam that comes on fairly early but still has heaps of torque through the mid range? If that's the case then thats the kind of cam i would be after too. Power would probably drop off a bit early up high but you'll have an adjustable cam gear to play around with anyway. Along with the headwork, it should pull very nicely

Regarding the headbolts, IIRC, they are all the same from EA-AU. I know the set i bought for mine a while back was listed as EA-AU. Best person to confirm this would be PapaSmurf, i think i may have even read they were the same in his thread lol

Good s**t, I'd like to know how much power that will make. As for the headbolts, I read somewere that the AU ones were slightly thicker. There could be a difference between genuine and aftermarket too. I agree, ask PapaSmurf.

Yeh I'd be expecting 150+ rwkw but it should have a meaty torque curve :)
I hate driving cars with peaky motors, just does not do it for me at all. I can live with the bottom end (<2k rpm) I have now with the 1673 and fkd motor, but I'm expecting this cam to come on very hard from 2k onwards.

with your bonnet is that illegal because of the braces under the bonnet because u would have had to hav gotten rid of them
