man, this thread is an inspiration, but im looking for 500-600 rwhp,

how did the lsd handle 350 rwhp without burnouts and stuff?

is it quicker then a stock ba xr6t?

The ford LSD are rubbish in my opinion, and my car has 302rwhp and it would lose traction at 1 wheel coming onto boost. I had new cone clutches in mine a couple yrs ago and it was right for about a month then single pegged again after that.

I haven't raced a BA but have driven a stock one before and even been in a 330rwhp auto one and mine feels like it pulls harder than both. I've been told that the dyno my car was on when it got tuned is a fairly low reading dyno compared to other tuners so the figure is pretty modest.

Been on the back burner for a little while as I had to pay off a holiday. Heading to America in August for 3 weeks so a bit of money is going to that haha. I'm getting a little bit of body work done to the front end at the moment so she's off the road. Getting the front bumper and spare xr bonnet and both side guards resprayed. I'll post some pics of that tonight but other than that nothing in the mod side of things going on until I'm back from the states.

Yeah will if they're brand new then they I suppose he would be able to order it with a base tune loaded. The base tune for mine was so rubbish. You could barely drive it, missed like a b**ch when you put it under load and it would stall haha. But once tuned it was a pleasure to drive.

From microtech it's $1095 I think tuff car parts is $50 cheaper , that's if postage is free .

Dyno shop is only a 20 minute drive , so should make it there.

Hey mate

I'm installing my turbo set up.same manifold as yours .
It's a low mount . How'd you get the intake pipe on ? Mine is close to the power steering pump .

Major update:

Alright so a few things have changed since i have been on here.

Car has whiteline sway bars 30mm up front and 24mm rear both non adjustable.
Got front end resprayed... Bonnet, front bumper, side guards.
repainted all the red strips on my doors and rear bumper as they were pink. Looks kind of decent now..

Just pulled engine out on the weekend for some much needed maintenance and found my snort log manifold had cracked in 5 places! couldnt believe it, it would be way down on power i reckon. So have ordered a new 6 boost manifold should be here this week :D

List of things being done while engine is out:
Sump gasket
Front and rear crank seals
Timing chain and seals and tensioner
replacing the bush that goes in the clutch fork
reco steering rack and intermediate steering shaft
re brazing the fitting on my heater pipe for coolant feed to turbo(leaking)
getting a proper speedflow fitting and thread welded onto the sump for better sealing/easier removal
replace A/C line thats leaking
degreasing the s**t out of my engine so that all evidence of oil leaks are gone!

Also had a look on the underside of my motor when i had the sump off this arvo for the first time and yes signs of being rebuilt are there. Bores and pistons still look brand new from underneath Can still see cross hatching on lower part of bore where the piston doesnt rub. From what i can tell the rods may be factory items and the oil pump is a genuine ford. Unsure on pistons, they look nice though. Can say motor is in healthy condition. Pretty stoked as you never know what your buying when someone else has built it.

Here are a few pics of the progress...

Really? what about the insides? how long did you have the manifold for before it cracked, was it brand new?

Mine was second hand and i couldnt be bothered spending money on it to get it repaired. Just thought i might aswell upgrade and it will net me more power and faster spool up times so i thought why not...
did hurt the bank though i wasnt expecting to replace the manifold when i planned to pull the engine out. Haha.
