All accessories are on except air con pump .
I would of dropped the motor and box in this weekend but the crush on the clutch was too much. The front plate would of needed machining 24 mm . Which is a lot . So instead I found a throw out bearing that's 30 mm shorter than the one I have . Just waiting on it to arrive from the USA. Then I can bolt the box to the motor and drop it in .

Is this the bottom end that you smacked the gudgeon pins out with the press and dropped the piston and dented it?
How did you refit the pins?

Does anyone know where the thick pink wire goes that on the engine loom under the bbm?
It has a plug that will push onto a flat spade connection .

Got my hydraulic throw out bearing . It will give me the correct amount of crush .
Just have to make a plate with some pipe for it to side on . ![]()

Here is what the throw out bearing will slide along .
It's a piece of tube machined down so the throw out bearing has a nice fit . Then it bolts to the front cover plate of the t56 . Much better than the standard t56 slave . Just need new seals for my master cylinder . Somehow it chewed a seal as I was pumping it . Might have been no lube inside it . Then I can check the clutch works then drop the motor and box in . The plate has to be cut in a circle shape yet ![]()

Had a set back with the bearing .
The distance between the clutch fingers and gearbox face was less than the hydraulic bearing . Distance between gearbox face and clutch fingers is 35 mm The height of the hydraulic bearing when compressed is 46 mm . 46-35=11 mm So the front plate has been removed and 15mm is being machined off . Then ill shim the hydraulic bearing out until I have around 1 mm of gap . Should have the front cover plate back mid next week and if all goes to plan have the motor and box back in on Friday . Then just have to connect hoses, wires etc to motor . Make gearbox cross member , shortened tail shaft , some wiring for gearbox . Also need to fit hydraulic clutch pedal under the dash .

Got my front cover plate back . Need to drill and tap the holes deeper as the machining has made them too shallow , was hoping to get the motor and box in this weekend but waiting on a clutch hose .
