Yeh it is quite loud, especially under acceleration :)

Looking good! And that exhaust sounds awesome. How many kms did it have when you got it?

Almost 300, steering and suspension was tight as, has a fully recon'd trans and engines are dirt cheap.

Happy.

Jeez that's a lot for a BA! Ah well as long as it drives well it doesn't matter-my 4Runner's got 330,000kms and still going strong!

Oh and a rather lame little skid I got forced to do :P 2 Wheels (18"s) harder to spin than I thought.

Cleaned car today, cut/polished the boot (needs another yet) after the full repaint after welding the spoiler holes up.

Almost happy with the car now.

Would still swap for a avg XW, XY though...

Mate, that looks pretty good at the moment, nice and tidy 8-)

That place where the skid took place looks very very familiar... Is that the indoor kart's car park? :P

Feels like new to drive, front is nice and tight. Might need to do the rear soon, has a small clunk when I floor it from lights.

Driven several new cars and this is pretty much there, really impressed.

Thing to note is these 277thou on speedo was all highway driving (Previous owner drove all over the north island alot, it was a company car for a transport company)

Holy crap man!! That's no good at all  Must have been a pretty loud bang when those 2 wheels went crack?

Anything else damaged on car? I'm assuming everyone was unharmed

Wow, that's not cool!!! What brand were the wheels? I hate to say it but aftermarket wheels just aren't worth the hassle these days. You only have to pick up a good quality alloy such as a ROH 17" and compare the weight to Chinese 17" alloy wheel to know how bad they actually are.

I heard rumors awhile ago that the LTSA wants to have a crackdown on aftermarket wheels that don't meet ADR or NZSS; unfortunately i think you just experienced first hand exactly why.
