turtle wax colour cure... i think it was around $20... comes in specific colours (i use red obviously) also comes with a little lipstick thing to fill scratches... it didnt work for me... put a thin layer on with one rag and leave for a minute then use a new rag to buff it off...

dont expect a result like mine as the eb hadn't been washed in 6months+ and the bloke i brought it of worked at a concrete place...

oh and if you use the colour stuff wear gloves...

and im picking up the EF on saturday... :-)

so picked up the wreck today...
initial assessment:
The Good:
New Radiator
Engine starts
Interior all works(drivers seat looks like someone hass pised them self?)
Head still looks fairly new
optioned with cruise and ABS

The Bad
Cut ignition wires (hot wired?)
Heaps of chips around rear right wheel arch(from excessive burnout with wire from the tire hitting the panel?)
Has been in a front on(had pushed thermo fans into belt but not damaged them)(repaired doggerly)
Engine will start but ruff as only running on 5 cyl.? few loud bangs as i rev it to 3000rpms then it sortof dies down to 1200 rpms (still with foot down) chugs for a few seconds and turns of...)the whole time the engine is shacking about about 3-4cm to each side
no rear muffler...

Nice score, the bad list will probably be simple fixes.

And great work on the polish! it looks excellent for an 16yr old ford paint job!

Hey cam, did you get the VIN checked just in case it wasn't a stolen vehicle?

:? might do that... the bloke i brought it from got it from an auction. so i would assume after being stolen/wrote off it would go to an auction site?

Always a bonus ;).

I bought my car from the Auction and the VIN number didn't match the sticker...but it was just a typo and I got that fixed.

Did he show you a receipt of it that he got it from the Auctions?

Yeah the EF door will fit.
Holes may not line up but the door itself will fit.
