Yeah i actually think the Cheetahs suited it better, and if they werent AU offset and could be run without adaptors theyd still be on there.

Cheers Tony.

Gave the ute a clean and wax today as i felt bad for it having to come off the road for a while for the gearbox transplant. Depending how i feel tomorrow i might get it up on stands and make a start on it, if not it will be next weekend. Still need a few bits and pieces so its not gonna be a one weekend job.
So with it all clean and blingin' on its fresh rims i thought i take some pics before the sun went down.

Great read Jeff

U still running the explorer intake with this setup.

I have a 200kw xr8 engine in my el fairmont hopefully kick it all over buy end of the week, and have started to look at combos afr 165 e303 or trickflow stage 1 and possibly elebrock rpm11 but doesnt look as though i need that with your great figures.

I difference is your manual ill be running auto with a 3500 convertor and 3.9 gears.

Gee, i forgot about this thread, been a LONG time since it got updated.
An update now would take me an hour to write.

Yeah mate, still running the Explorer intake which came std on my ute.
Just had the lower port matched to the heads and the upper is untouched.
Great manifold for a street driven 5.0. I wouldnt really bother running anything else, unless the heads and cam being used are items that make power to or over 6000rpm.
