oh and its in a sad state at the moment. sitting under a tree for 3 months without being moved takes its toll. so this week she gets a full wash and one of those wax as you dry treatments that everyone keeps saying is good

finally some progress... it got delayed for ages due to debt but thats all sorted now, everything is done ready for RWC apart from ball joints which get done thursday or friday this week. it will get a RWC at the same time. work is taking up most of my time at the moment so i need to squeeze it all in.

on a good note i got some goodies. i couldnt get that 14 second motor off my mate but i did menage to score the T5 with cushioned button clutch for 750 bucks, it arrived yesterday, 2 weeks ago i also picked up a TICKFORD motor from a concord that someone was selling on here (apparently 162kw at the fly) 119000k's with a few reco's bits. that cost me 300 bucks, just need to put my spare dizzy in, wireup a new manifold loom and buy a water pump and she is sweet to drop in but im in no big rush at the moment. rego should be done within 2 weeks...

wow its been ages since an update. the lane now has rego, been driving it for a few weeks now and its great. a few issues still to be sorted

things done since last update:

propper ECU fitted with gearbox computer built in (i was stuck in 3rd)
replaced the washer bottle as the origional leaked
replaced multiple relays
bashed dash to make dash lights work haha
installed a JBL 8" sub in the parcel shelf
replaced fuel pump since it s**t itself in the maccas carpark 30 minutes after i put a full tank of fuel in it

still to be done:

installing a EF/EL center console with power window switches
new JBL amp getting picked up tuesday
swapping of tyres onto nicer looking rims
fixing of dents in roof and doors
tinted windows
fuel level sender unit (guage gives false reading)

Good work huggie. Hopefully the minor adjustments are easily fixable.

Question, how much did the 8" sub cost you, and is it free-air or is it an enclosed sub and and...what was the power rating of it...sorry about the many off-topic questions =D.

phong =P~

hey troyman yeah its great to be driving it. na the tickford motor i want to completely freshen up so i dont have to pull it out again in a few months time. the 350000k old motor it has now goes great still (doesnt even have a lip on the cylinders)

altho tonight i backed off at 100-110kph as it went into 4th and it went into limp home mode so thats the next issue to sort out

phongus, yeah i hope they are fixable easily. the 8" sub has a RRP of $199 but due to mates rates i got it for $92 (cheering) its ment to be in a box but i have it as free air at the moment, my plans are to fiberglass in a box up underneath the shelf so that when you open the boot you dont see it (or not much of it)... its rated to 200wrms im only running 100wrms into it till the new amp goes in tomorrow.

lol, im at a dead end weather i should put it in or not. a T5 Fairlane would be awesome but fairlanes are ment to be cruisers... and the drive to work would be a b**ch in a manual

Looks Great.

Just remember you need to be able to DRIVE it places. So while low is fabulous, too low is not.

Rather than drop the front more, you could lift the back by 10mm or so with some nylon spacers to make it even.
