Use some contact cleaner on the connector at the firewall, the one that connects the bay loom to the injection loom, might find a dirty connector, if not, fault will probably be there in regards to no tacho or temp signals.

Coming along nicely man. Also good that you found a thermo fan wiring setup there, that will make the job so much easier down the track.

Cheers

i didnt butcher the loom for it, the aircon wire is coiled up and ziptied so other wires so when i install it all again there is no need to do anything apart from put some blade terminals on the thermos

the LTD looks like a POS

you woulda been better off with a EF/EL gli as a daily

and dansedgli, the turbo project makes way for ridiculous side projects because he's come to the part where he needs to spend more than $2 on exhaust/ECU/tuning and thats f**k the whole show

Nicely worded dude!

I too enjoy driving on LPG, much cheaper than petrol, and can be cheaper than a 4 banger to run as well. It was a car that you either have or can cheaply acquire spares for, so it was a good buy in that regard too. Plus it's something you want, and because of that you will look after if more than if it was a 4 banger s**t heap that you just thrash into the ground.

Cheers

By the time you get this one RWC and rego'd you could have spent the same coin getting the turbo fairlane running so it seems like a waste of time to me.

If you cant daily a turbo falcon then you didnt do it right.

Driving a car on LPG daily instead of petrol on your first car wouldnt outweigh the costs of a 2nd rego and 2nd insurance policy.

there is alot more to be done to the fairlane then people think, im not going to just dodge it up and put it on the road as id never be happy with it, im taking my time and doing it right, its still to get a build gearbox, full exhaust, ECU, injectors, handbrake done, more work in the engine bay, ball joints, bushes, compliance plate, RWC rego

somehow i think that will outweigh the cost of a 350 ltd on LPG for a daily

I hear you with that one man. I could throw just $1500 at my torana & a whole weekend, and it would be on the road & drivable, but I wouldn't be happy with it.

Yeah a 2nd rego cost a bit, but you could easily save more than the rego cost's by running on LPG instead of petrol.

Cheers

The gearbox, full exhaust, ECU, injectors can all be done later on. The other s**t would cost less than $350 + rwc+ rego + insurance + whatever you spend fixing it.

I get 550kms to a tank in the AU and the GF only gets 300 - 350 on gas in her stock AU. I cbf doing the maths but I doubt the difference over a year is more than the cost of rego and insurance which would be $1000+. Depending on the amount of kms of course.

How many K's do you do?

It really is all in the maths... it costs you roughly $75 to get to Roughly 500 Ks
with gas it's roughly $32 to get ROUGHLY 300 Ks so you're travelling an extra 100 ks for ROUGHLY the same $$
say you fill up once a week.. over the year.. your GF will have travelled 5000 more Ks than you or would have saved ROUGHLY $750
Not bad.
