f**k even my phone reminds me when its mine in September.
Way too many Christmas roots.................

That would of been Don on her way to work.
Its a very rare occasion that I get to have a steer of the Ghia.

Cheat mode activated.
Week has been taken off work to kick the project in the a***.
Walked down the end of the street and introduced myself to the nice man that owns the large Palfinger.
Things are now getting lifted and fitted the easy way.

Once again Matt, you have a set of hands here free if you need it.... Well not really free, youll have to put up with my company and that can sometimes be costlier than taking it to a workshop after you take into the account of the ear bleeds and panadol from all my jibba jabba.

Well its been a productive week working away.
Got plenty done and things are getting close to being ready to be put back together.
There was also a big decision and change made this week.
The Mav wont be going back together as a V8.
Since I really want to do some long distance touring in the old girl in the future , this build fuel economy and reliability , alone with the ability to run on crap fuel if required is an issue. Also I want the ability to have a silly amount of horsepower when I want to play around town. This was going to be harder to achieve with the V8 then by other means.
So the decision has been made that this time around the old girl will be revived with a Twin Cam Turbo 6.............................................
An FG motor with the rear bowl sump that's only 25000km old has been ordered and tomorrow I take delivery of a BA XR6 that I got at a price I couldn't refuse.
Its a written off vehicle after copping a hit in the front and being stripped , but it has the motor with all accessories , PCM and bracket , wiring , OBDII connector and throttle pedal that I need. The rest of the parts from it will be sold off to help fund the build along with all my 5.0 gear and conversion kit.
I have also arranged to get a hold of Daz's manual bellhousing when he does the auto conversion in his Mav.
I will fit all the accessories up to the FG motor , fit that and get it running as a NA motor to iron out any conversion bugs and then will bolt the turbo gear on to it. It will be tuned via an SCT and in the long run will have a 91 octane tune , an 98 octane tune and who knows I might get silly and see if this E85 is as good as everyone raves about.
It will be an interesting challenge and something to keep my brain busy.
It will be fun to crank the boost up and start putting bits of motor internal through the block! Oh well motors are cheap enough that I can pop a few of them while getting it right!

Mate the twincam turbo 6 is awesome. You will love it even in standard form. They go incredibly well.
So when can we put dibs on BA parts ? :D
