hay all
newbie to ford but been a ford fan since as long as i could remember.. my name is Matt and i am 23 from southside of brissy and my ride is a 98 EL XR8 and love it.. its got 140 ***ks on the clock auto sound system 3" exhaust with pacemaker extractors and no resanators some wheels have no idea came with the car  K&N panel filter after owing it for 4 weeks its spent more time getting worked on then drivin  first thermo housing cracked so i replaced it with a new one and a new thermo and gasket after doing that i noticed it leaking from bottom header tank in radiator so i replaced the radiator with alloy headers. after that it was still leaking so replaced the water pump and changed hoses and new radiator cap... after that no more leaks  then the idle was stuffed it kept stalling so i looked everywhere at all the sensors and found the maf sensor was full of crap so i have cleaned that out and so far so good... plans... darker tint change of wheels i think  and change the red moulds as they are all starting to fade to a pink colour  thats about it... its just a daily to get to point a to b but have some fun on the way.. well this is my baby      let me know what you think

You gonna put a manual in it?

nah no manual conversion as the misses cant and wont drive a manual so when i get p1ssed she can drive it home
 and doesnt really bother me its just a really good cruising car

nice car mate i know what you mean about the moulds going pink my sister in laws el is having same problem...... she like to think it mathces her pink license plate holder and sterring wheel cover
 im dealing with peeling chrome moulds

looks pretty neat, fairly low kms for a el xr8. id get some new wheels, the moulds come up on ebay fairly often so just keep an eye out for them. I'm also becoming a fan of of the EL tail lights (amber indicators instead of clear EF ones) although alot of people go the clear

yeh i was bidding on a set of door moulds a and in the last 8hrs the bloke took them off ebay i was like wtf i wouldnt mind the ba xr style wheels but very hard to find a set cheap

well kingy i think you should put a stroker kit in it nd a bit of a cam
theres one in mackay running high 12's with that done

yeh seems to be sweet on fuel no dramas at all in that apartment...
as for the stroker kit i thought about it but not 100% sure kinda happy just with the cruiser look i didnt buy it for the v8 power but just for that v8 noise...

update just bought some new red side moulds off a bloke on the sunshine coast.. i will get them on saturday and fit them sometime next week
