Like the instructor said today, it is impossible to comply 100%, but if you can achieve 95% compliance you can at least get workcover to the point that they would probably lose in court and drop the case. The more you have in place, the lower the fine, but you can at least escape prosecution if seen to be doing the right thing. After all, workcover is self funded, so they will always find something wrong and slap you with the biggest fine they can.

Anyway, better provide an update on the cars considering this is a build thread

Going to try and get the Lane inspected tomorrow. Didn't get time to ring around or make appointments, so hopefully I can find someone local with a LPG ticket.

Once the Lane is registered again, I am putting the prowlers back on the wagon, give it a good polish and it will be gone by the end of next week! Also have to finish the daughters Swift and get it blue slipped, and get the final few pieces off the LTD and clean this friggin back yard up! Looks like a bloody wrecking yard!

Have my eye on a new set of shoes for the Lane, so the prowlers can go with the wagon and the Volts will probably find there way onto the camper trailer!

Better be getting up bright and early eh! Big weekend on the cards 8-)

Don't care! If the price is right and it looks it's best, someone will take it off my hands. All goes well tomorrow, it will be getting the ebay treatment first. Will then consider carsales if necessary, but at the starting price I'm thinking, someone will take it.

Just need to reduce the number of cars here so I can get started on this bloody driveway and carport

Thanks BenJ, so do I!

Best offer I got from anyone here was $2,300, which was a bit of a slap in the face for the work that has gone into this car, mostly by Banarcus, but I have added a few nice touches and made some pretty important repairs.......but anyway, wasn't to be. I guess she will now be lost to the FM community :(

Cheers,
Mick

Aaaarggghhh! f**k this rego s**t! Was probably pushing it to try and get a pink slip on a Saturday, but the most annoying thing is that the ones that could do it, don't do LPG, including Ultratune which was a bit of a shock. Ah well, better get to work on this bloody wagon then eh!

Might stick the Lane out front with a 4 sale sign as well :P

YAY  Rego done for another year. Can take the Lane home now and put it away, doesn't see much road time these days :(

Now I can put my focus back on getting rid of this wagon. Keep changing my mind about whether to keep the Prowlers or sell them with the wagon. Would probably get more $$$ for the wagon looking it's best, which would fund new shoes for Lane :? hmmmm! decisions, decisions!!!

So what ended up happening with the wagon?

Back on the Prowlers  been sorting a few issues with the engine running like crap, but new plugs and a new lead sorted that out. Still plan on moving it on, but in no great rush. Things keep f**k up with it, so would rather them happen to me than having the potential new owner whinging at me!
PS. Say G'day to Mark for me :P

I haven't talked to Mark in ages, bet he is missing the wagon, I love the old girl and would love it for myself but don't have enough cash to give you a decent offer.

Don't worry mate, you're not alone with the shortage of cash flow. Have had at least a dozen members here say the same thing!

Reason I haven't listed it on ebay yet, is the old girl is starting to show her age. I'm pretty confident I have tackled most of the major issues now, so I'm going to give it a good service and then see where I'm at. Every time I have gone to list it, something else has failed

The Lane is currently back on stockies for now, and I have my eye on a set of new shoes, so that is my motivation now to move the wagon on. With the missus going into a new car in the not to distant future, I have no need for 2 petrol guzzling V8's, and the Lane is not going anywhere, which leaves old wag's out in the cold unfortunately :(

What a beautiful day out!

Daughters swift is now in the exhaust shop getting a new system, last fix to comply with the blue slip repair list
Once that is on the road, I really have no need for the wagon, so out I go to service it.
Then I might get the Lane out and go for a cruise, have to drop the wife to work, then I have to wash the Triton......hasn't been getting a lot of attention lately.

Then if there is any time left in the day, I might kick back with a few brews and watch the V8's
