OK, the ball is rollin now :D
Bought my Davies Craig set today from super cheap for $69, pick up my thermo fans next Tuesday ($50) and will also get the underdrives same day while i'm in Sydney ($80) , don't think I will be waiting for the dyno run, they will be going on ASAP. All for the pricely sum of $199, half of what I was expecting to fork out.......woohoo!

Good work there mate. I'll have to have a chat to your dyno mate about my LPG setup as my mixer is a massive bottleneck to my wagon.

Read all 17 pages and I think you have done a great job, very impressive.

I only just got my NC so have plenty to learn about them that is for sure.

I will put some pics of it up once it returns from Port Macquarie.

I really like the sound of your exhaust. Mine is in the process of a sports system and looking around for some extractors for it.

Pete at Skaza is a great bloke, he has worked on some of my other cars before.

OK! Here's my poor assed attempt at showing the exhaust note under load. Banarcus and I did have a little play today and I have to say he has one fine wagon there. His T5 wagon really does make mine look like a big fat pig on take-off. Just goes to show I have a long way to go to get the lane really launching, but it will be a fun journey getting there :P

Mate - Nice launch for an auto really... Good effort. Did the shift kit escape your attentions (mine really slams into second and sqwarks tires if you do it up a hill)...

And that's with two spare doors, a real full toolbox and some other stuff in the back... With nothing in the back it's about the same but I reckon you loose a bit more going up hills. Much safer with loads in it.. Slows me down and keeps the back firmly attached to the hard stuff...

Is the F-Ugly sister a real horny biatch under that plain Jane exterior? Those mags on her have the impression of black, horn rimmed SPECTACLES!

Yeah! Thanx Fiend, It was a slightly down hill run from where we were taking off as well. But no shift kit for the lane mate, I have one in the EBII and I really don't like the way they rev out and slam the next gear.....can't be good in the long run.
All I can say on your last comment is WTF
I was referring to how bad the lane on ebay looked without colourcoded bumpers and door handles and that rear wing is just hideous :P Other than that, it has potential and looks pretty tidy......pity he's dreaming on the asking price :?

Give me a yell when you are keen to chuck the 3.45s in Mick. That and the underdrives will get your LWB up and running real good. After that, get some GT40P heads and a good auto friendly cam and it will really wake her up!!

Slowly getting there Banarcus.
I picked up my ef thermo's today from Mr BuNtEr & met Matt (Trick Flow EL) and received my new set of underdrives (nice bloke) and then headed back home with my goodies.
Didn't get to play though as I was on a tight schedule and had to be back in Newie by 3:30 to go to the inlaws for the exchanging of gifts (bloody Xmas).
Also missed out on a trip to the playground (pick'n'payless) with BenJ and the boys. He called just as I was leaving Sydney so I'll have to take a rain check on that trip boys. I made it home with 15 minutes to spare :P
Hopefully I'll get a chance to start pulling the old clutchie out tommorow and throw the thermo's in. Have to wait till I get the water pump pulley machined before I throw the underdrives on.
It's progress...... :)
Oh! and yes the 3:45 does need to get going....i'll have to start the hunt for a set of upper trailing arms from an EF/EL before it can go in.
If anybody has a spare set lying around, drop me a line :D

OK! Who said fitting thermo's was easy.........f**k things are lucky to be still alive
The mob from davies craig didn't help matters either, After getting everything all wired up and fitted, I fired up the Lane to let it get to temp and test the thermo switch........nothing :? Checked everything again in case I stuffed something up......found the friggin relay loom was all screwed up, i.e. red and blue (Pins 30 and 87 on the relay) were reversed, as was green and black (pins 86 & 85). Pulled the loom apart and corrected that and still nothing  Thought I'd check the fuse holder in the red cable only to find no fuse........WTF
After I got all that sorted, it all worked electrically, but then found the top hose where the temp probe goes was leaking....bad. Couldn't stop it with changing the position of the hose clamp, plus other various methods, so I bit the bullet and grabbed the tube of silicone, will see tommorow how that went :? Stupid bloody rubber gromet :x
No pictures today....was too busy punching s**t, throwing tools and generally just screaming out naughty swear words :x God my neightbours must love me :)
Let's hope tommorow goes better eh!
BYW, does anybody have any hints on how to remove the alternator pulley......I had a very special set of swear words for this little f**k, fitting underdrives wasn't much better :P
