Yes it is a lot better to drive, it spools up very quickly, bit of a traction problem with the ld 255/40's struggling to grip in any gear.

Bet your driveline is thanking you for those little tyres.

Im surprised the turbo is flowing that much at only 10psi!!! That is unbelievable!! :D I am speechless, I am without speech

What else has been done since the last build in regards to flow? Has the cam been changed? More headwork?

In the initial post you only said new piping and an intake manifold were on the cards to help with flow, the rest was going to be in strengthening the bottom end.

Has the new intake manifold and piping alone made all the difference in efficiency? If so I want one!!

What rpm boost come on now? What about before?

Any plans to upgrade the gearbox or are you going to hold onto it until it lets go?

Im jealous!

Which maestro did the head work and cam selection? Whoever it is has done his homework and should be congratulated for a job well done. Around 2 years ago I was the only one on here saying that a ported head with a matched turbo and big lift, long duration, minimal overlap cam will give you big Hp. Thanks for proving that for me.

This stuff is absolutely amazing. That kind of power is.... well, its scary.

Aaron - serious question - do you have any concerns regarding the block's ability to withstand the forces which are ocurring in there? Lol, an EL V8 engine would split down the middle with that kind of power!!!!

Has anyone been to this region of power before on the I6? I would assume the engine nizpro was working on would have a differnt block casting (i.e. BA engine)...

power is not that surprising for the build of the engine, yes homework has been done and yes it is making fantasic power, but not hard to do on the i6 with those internals, turbo and additional fabrication

Yeh, dunno if you guys know/remember but 6BOOST had in excess of 600rwhp on a 'stock' bottom end, all it had was ACL hypereutic(sp?) pistons to lower comp and had headwork and a T66 on it I think.

Went forever too....never had to rebuild the engine once to run the power. If/when I force mine I'll be leaving the bottom end relatively stock (just pistons) because my XR's had a pretty easy life (until I got it :)) and has only done 80,000kms.

from what i understand... some of aaron's inspiration was from the ED done by MRD performance.
460rwkw out of an I6... TUFED6 is the owner and its quiet an animal :P
JMM also have about 600rwhp out of their EF I6 so theres some soft limits for ya :)

- More headwork
- Plenimum done,
- Motor bored and blueprinted
- Crank machined and blueprinted
- More extensive head porting (not a lot though) of course it had some done already
- Same cam

Block seems to be holding nicely. My car is UNDER [b]A LOT[b/] moer streess than a number of other Turbo'ed Falcons as it is a daily drive. TUF6 claimed 460rwkw in his set-up, but told me he had only travelled 1,500km on it. I wou8ld be supprised it if handeled that power as a daily driver. He was running the standard gerarbox Without driving the car hard the standard T5 in mine only held 200rkw.

No plans to upgrade the gearbox at present it's holding on it is a T5 "Z" spec built by Mal Wood so I am told it will handle quite a bit...

If you just want a hugh rwkw figure you may get away with standard internals and gearbox, but there is a lot moer to a quick street car than high rwkw, my car now has 306rwkw, when it went in it had 309rwkw so you'd think it should feel the same to drive.

WRONG, it is twice as good to drive, boost up more quickly, smoother response, power comences earlier int he power range...

Its very impressive!! Any plans to race it?

When is the boost getting turned up to see what it can really do?

Yes i hope to get to a few race meets thsi year again probably re-visit Phillip Island and try Winton and maybe Sandown.

I am out of fuel supply, so i am waiting on another Bosch 520hp fuel pump and i'll run twins. I will also be going with 650cc injectors as the 390's I have int here now are maxed out..

Should have it all in and running next week on around 22psi hoping for clear of 400rwkw.....

I'd be after probably around 250rwkw with all the turbo gear a bigger cam and some headwork, and probably a little work done on the bottom end. I'd want it to be a daily driver that doubles as a track/MC day car, so I would eventually put better pistons etc in it.

Really I'd be after more response in the lower range like a BA XR6T, with peak torque coming on at 2k to most of the way to the limiter and plenty of power on tap. I'm not after 500rwkw or anything like that, my car(s) will never be dyno/strip cars.
