Thats great Aaron! I still cant imagine the fun of driving your car on the road.

It was looking pretty good on the weekend, I had a peek when I picked up the computer for my new project.

Any plans to test it out on the strip? It would awesome to see a 10 out of it in manual form. It definately has the power to do it. Might need to borrow some slicks though!

Or even better... say you have an 11 second car because the wheels spin through 6th gear... lol.

Congrats, it's not very often you hear someone say "It's done, i'm happy with it, no more". Enjoy!

thanks all, yes very happy with it as it now is.

Just want to finish the stereo off and drive it all the time in the nice summer weather....

To give you an idea of driving it:
- You get in and start it up. It comes straight on and ideles quite high fir about 15sec (1800rpm), then kicks down to a steady but slightly lumpy idle.
- you squeeze it into reverse and roll ot the drive then it facing up the road about 50m from te corner and wonder if you can get to 3rd and 70km before the corner and then whether you can corner at that speed.......
- rwalising it's 6:30am in the morning i decide not to jack off the neighbours so cruise slowly off.

round the corner and go about 100m before saying.... hang it i didnt get a 400+rwkw car to drive like grandma, besides i'm not near my neighbours anymore. i dont even know any of these houses.

So i floor the throttle and the car comes straight on boost and in about 2sec breaks traction and spins the wheels to the 6000rpm rev limiter. BOV kicks in and exhaust is screaming.

then think maybe if i backed off a little i migt actually be able to use some of this power, so i go 1/2 throttle in 2nd and it sits you way back in the seat. Then snap 3rd - same thing, then snap 4th and floor it, slung b ack in the seat i hit te little rise near the 100km zone and the back wheels again break traction and i back off and look diwn to notice i am doing 130km and dont want to stack the car..

Then i click the cruise on and think how good life is, especially on a cold morning.

Or you accelerate from 80to 100 in 3rd and floor it, then flick it onto high boost and it breaks traction in 3rd gear at 110km on a straight piece of ashphelt....

OR

Pull at th lights next to some legend with a VX clubsport owho thinks he is it and a bit. He looks over with a contented smile at my 8yr old car and laughs to himself about a funny paint colour, then just before lights go green i give it a short rev and he hears the BOV and exhaust and his face goes white. Lights go green and i loose him somewhere behind as he slinks away eating his thougts about ford...

ECU is Wolf 3D

My turbo guy just programed it up that way i guess i never really asked.

I looked on the weekend it actually goes to about 1800rpm when cold and then drops down to 900rpm after about 15sec..

In the menu for the WOlf there is the following options

- Steps open at engine start
- Extra steps at cold idle

They are the ones to adjust

Aaron,

So the BA XR6T Rods and pistons work perfect with the EL crank or did it need modifying also what work besides the boring needed to be done to fit the piston and rods.

Cheers

Chris
