That Jackhammer is one insane woofer. That thing would pin your rear end down to the tarmac no worries.

Aaron,

So the BA XR6T Rods and pistons work perfect with the EL crank or did it need modifying also what work besides the boring needed to be done to fit the piston and rods.

BA rods are slightly longer & pistons are slightly shorter so overall stroke is the same. You get more torque because of the different angle the rod pushes on the crank.

Nothing had to be done to the crank, but I had mine linished and heat tuffied for added strength anyway.

I am definately selling 6 x BA XR6 turbo RODS (brand new) and 6 x ACL Fordged pistons and AU crank to suit so if your interested they will be for sale in about 3-4 weeks.

Aaron

1st off congrats on building such a mean car. It seriously is awesome from all accounts on stories told, figures posted & pics seen.

Pull at th lights next to some legend with a VX clubsport owho thinks he is it and a bit. He looks over with a contented smile at my 8yr old car and laughs to himself about a funny paint colour, then just before lights go green i give it a short rev and he hears the BOV and exhaust and his face goes white. Lights go green and i loose him somewhere behind as he slinks away eating his thougts about ford...

That really is a good feeling. :D I have done that once or twice since having my car. Most memorable was chomping a Monaro GTS (when they were only new and worth about $100k) rolling start on the freeway (slowed to about 60 for this one) and chopped him. Only time he would take off after that was when he could hear I was cruising in 5th.

Other time I have done something similar was eating a GT-P at the drags. Twice. He rolled up and looked at this 11 year old car next to him thinking he was going to get an easy win, but chopped him both times. He has come back and beaten me again since then though, so I have a little work to do. :D

I used BA rods and fordged pistons also designed for the BA.

The BA has slightly longer rods but slightly shorter pistons so overall stroke is the same.
You also get more torque since the rod comes down on a slightly different angle.

BA XR6 Turbo rods cost $351ea @ trade and fordged pistons were $1,799rrp, I got a couple of hundred dollar discount and they were around the $1,550mark.

In the next couple of weeks I will be selling the pistons and rods as i am going for a new set which will be even stronger.

Are you going to be doing more to it again, or just chasing some more strength?
