hard this guy on trademe tried selling xr6 injectors, stating that they were a high performance item, bear in mind this is for a ed, did some research on here apparently there exactly the same! and he was trying to get 150 for them second hand! yeah just got my firewall strengthener, dont want that firewall cracking :/

and in the B series the injectors from ALL I6 from XT to XR6T to F6 all share the same injectors, they just run different pressures

Got all my *hit together finally just need to get my flywheel machined :)
Not long now, bought all this over the last week or two.

Got a heavy duty clutch kit for 270 from a place that specialises in rotaries for christs sake :P, cheaper then anywhere else.

Drop the back of the gearbox, and pull down.

Use 11tybillion extensions pieces, and if needed a uni joint, and you should be able to undo them.

Cheers
BenJ

The cursed unis joints make an appearance again! I thought that blasted pedalbox was a b**** until i realised the bolts hiding underneath the air ducting .. . . :)

Had a few mates to help me out, got dark quick plus they wern't much help (too much talk and not enough on the tools i think). How far should i let the engine and box tilt once i've undone the gbox cross member, didnt want to put too much stress on the engine mounts ( i'm presuming that's what its rocking on). I've moved the loom out of the way so it doesnt get crushed once the motor tilts back.

You won't be able to twist it enough to hurt the engine mounts.

You may have to pull down on the back of the gearbox, to get a clear path to the nuts. 19mm from memory.

I still reckon it is easier to pull the engine and box as a unit, install the flywheel, spigot bearing and box out of the car, then slip it all back in.

Good Luck.

Cheers
BenJ.

listen to this man! this is exactly what i did and had no problems! lol
you can drop the gbox cross member with the jack on the back of the gearbox and lower it all the way no worrys on the engine mounts or anything

piss! turns out i got the wrong clutch :/ well not on purpose! the clutch kit i bought was for an ea, but it wouldn't marry up to the flywheel off the ed. The ea clutch kit only has 3 clutch bolts where as the ed has 6! hopefully ill be able to swap it , god bless receipts .

well well well! got the right clutch heavy duty for the ed flywheel. Bloody machinists put one of the dowels in bent! they fixed it up though so credit for that, put the clutch on today and aligned it. Got to exchange pedal boxes, swap computers look at the loom im going to have to chop up. Need to have another read over what ive got to do and then just bolt up the bell housing and box. Hoping to do it tomorrow.

Also got to get the car back up to warrant of fitness standard, have a bit of panel damage under neath the car to get sorted , where i ahh almost went over a cliff for the second time! ahh enough about that :P Also need a front left tire, even with the wheel alignment and camber kit it still chewed through that front left.

Also saw some nice bloody fords in town today, first ed xr8 iv seen in person

Right i'v been procrastinating, finally got the auto pedalbox out today and the manual one half way in :P Honestly hardest thing of the conversion i reckon, for anyone doing the conversion JUST BUY A MALWOOD CLUTCH PIN, i sure wish i had. Ohwell so with pedalbox in all i believe i need to now is swap the computers over, sort out the loom for the box and actually put the thing in. I'll get a mate round this weekend hopefully to put the box in, better of aligned my clutch up by eye allgood :)

Also guys if anyone in NZ needs some parts for a ED or similar hit me up, the eds also reg on hold for another year.
