If you turn the sub around it should sound heaps better. Those Pioneer amps work fine, but have little in the way of adjustments from memory. Have you tried increasing the gain and playing with the settings on the deck?

the shift points are factory, the chip didnt change anything. Im stumped as well, it seems 1st gear will take me to 80kph @ 5700rpm before changing gears at full throttle even though im running a 3.73 diff.

only theory is i will have to inspect the speedo sender that came with the box to check if it is a 3.23 sender as thats what my manual had, and thats what my speedo correcter is set for. Every other EF ive seen shifts @ 5500rpm, and hits 80kph with the 3.23/3.08 diff, but mine revs out more and still hits the same speed, with a way shorter diff :|

Bit of a slow launch as the standard torquey must have been getting a bit tired - once got it to hold at just shy of 3,000 with the brakes, but would only do 2,000 in this video. It was good for a bit better than 2,000 rpm most days... Anyways - look at shift point here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ha0V4VlxDS4 Standard everything... 3:23 diff.

And if you happen to have the wrong speedo sender in there, do you mind re-doing your 0-100 time please?!!!!

Ummm Fiendy, you start at between 5-6 seconds and hit 100 at 14 secs.... that means you doing 8+ seconds, not 7.25
I timed it twice, and got 8.10 and 8.15...

Been through this so many times already.... And have posted another video elsewhere, and many other people have all come back with 7 seconds.... Am so over it.... I don't know what is up with that video you talk of... I originally timed it at 7.25, but maybe I uploaded the wrong bloody video or something? Anyway, the 7 second one was posted somewhere around these parts... OVER IT! Was only uploading it to show the shift points.

Anyway... Onwards and Upwards...

Is that first video a little under seven seconds Mr Mont? It appears to be under 7... U-Tube ain't the best for timing videos off, obviously!!!! And it's hard to see the end of the second video as U-Tube kind of cuts the end off for me.... But if I may take a stab through the haze, I'd suggest a low six or mid six at most?

At risk of having a sign under this posting with ''EDIT 100 TIMES and RISING'', here is one more edit...

Can you please tell me how many rev's you sit on when cruising at 100km/h with the new lower ratio diff?

FordFairmont, your Mont has a f**k quick take off

Thats possibly the fastest 0-60 ive seen in an N/A e-series. So it seems that the 4.11's did make quite a difference over the 3.7's. Now i know why you recommended the 4.11's .

Should be pulling around mid 14's now id imagine?

Will look amazing with the colour of yours. Can't wait to see.

They tyres might be average though. I have "Acceleras" on the 16's I bought. They are chunky as and have less grip than the Bob Jane all rounders I had on the 15's before. Car was sliding around everywhere today in the rain, wasn't trying to provoke it either. I expect that 18" tyres will be crazy expensive though.

MATE! That looks freakin awesome. I seem to remember you being pretty keen on your last wheels, but these are something special alright. Good choice, especially with that Monty colour...!

Very nice indeed. They look tough and they do suit the color of the Mont.
