today i started adding bits for the bbm conversion..
i ran the wires through the firewall needed for bbm switch, knock sensor ect..
while i was at it i swapped the trip comp pwm wire over to the injector pwm wire and fitted the el ecu..
and as my car has cruise control there is a vacc module where the bbm solinoid is suposed to go.. so instead of re-locating the cruise controle vacc module i decided to mount the bbm switch to the firewall instead..

here are pics..

no its not finished yet ive run the wires and the ecu is in..
but i havnt swapped the manifold over yet.
i should have it finished by tomorrow afternoon..

after fitting the cam it idled like crap with the std ed ecu.(hunting for idle, running rich)ect
now with the el tickford ecu it idles great :D
even with the log still fitted its a bit doughy down low(because of different fuel map) but when it gets to 3800rpm holy s**t!! it pulls like a horny school boy

well it all back together with the bbm now.
the only thing still to do is the cruise control cable and i think i need to advance the timing alittle.
as it went from pulling like a horny school boy  yesterday with the log manifold and el ecu, to going like a impudent old man today with the bbm and el ecu..

so i got a few bugs to iron out but its getting there..

today i modified the ed cruise controle cable by cutting the end off pulling the inner cable out and cutting the outer down to the right length..

then i got the el end of the cruise cable that i got from benj.(thanks ben :) ).i cut it down to the thick outer and removed the metal part of the outer and removed the inner.
then i drilled into the el thick outer plastic and slid the ed outer cable into the el end and ran the ed inner through.
i then found a small crimp and crimped the ed inner cable to the el cable end.
and it works a treat!!
sorry i didnt take any progress pics.. i know i should have!

Hey Troyman

Now that is nice work. Taking my original concept and finessing it so it is much tidier than my bodgy job.

Excellent!!!!

Huggie

He is using the ED vacuume cruise setup and modified the two different cables to work together. You can do this to mate.

BenJ
