you might want to list what type of altinator you need. there is about 3 different types of altinators for ea-ed... and also a different pully type for CPI motors over the MPFI ones

depends on the type... my NC has an EL style altinator (same plug) but the front pully system is different, my EA altinator is completely different and also my ED one is different again. which is why i said for him to list the type he needs

thats not entirely true..
i depends on the series.
my ea series one is mpfi and uses the v belt with the bosch alternator.
but the eb has a v belt for series 1 and series2 has either a bosh or mitsubishi alternator with a grooved belt.

the pullies on the ea bosch and the eb/ed mitsubishi are interchangable..
but yes the eb/ed mitsubishi alternator has a different plug to the bosch alternator and the eb/ed mitsubishi alternator has the same plug as a ef/el mitsubishi alternator.
but the ef/el mitsubishi alternator is completely different to the ed one but has the same type of plug..

i hope that makes sence..

the bosch one has the impeller/fan outside the casing behind the pulley and the mitsubishi one has it inside the casing.
