Hey Guys,

Chasing two things... On my ED grill there is 4 rubber rings that go around where the holes are for the headlights, the light locate inside them and they look very neat, however my spare grill does not have any... Does anyone know what I am talking about and anyone have any that they would sell (seeing ford do not make them anymore and no ford dealer has any old ones in stock already checked :()

Secondly... An EL manual PCM if possible? Not fussed on XR or not, I will be getting a T.I. Performance chip to suit it to a log manifold and to gain a few extra kw's...

Thanks,
Tim

why do you need the extra rings? if you ever need to use the spare grille, simply swap them over

really, i wouldnt worry about them, you only notice them missing if you know they should be there

the rubber rings are near impossible to find..
they did exist but have become more of a myth as not many people realize that they were there from factory..
i tried to find some once and ford didnt have them and wreckers never kept them..
they were sold with the front ends or fell off and they were thrown in the bin lol..

there not necessary... so in the end i gave up looking

If you are getting the J3 chip, you won't need a Manual EL ECU, an Auto one will do, as the J3 will convert it to manual.

In regards to the rubber rings...

They look better with them on there and with all this rare stuff I like to own spares simply for the reason of "just in case"... I was just curious if anyone knew of them and if they knew where to get them... Might even see one day if its possible to get something made...

BenJ,

thanks, wasn't sure if it would so I thought i'd put manual in just in case...

Thanks,
Tim
