Hey, for the last few weeks my car has been having starting issues, I did have a cracked radiator hose which spewed coolant on the dizzy which I think made the car die while driving it.

Lately it just won't start turn the key and nothing smart lock light just flashes and the interior light is on, bashing under the dash works sometimes but not all the time.

Saturday I went out looking at car yards when I got back to my car it wouldn't start even banging the underside of the dash did nothing, checked all my fuses they were fine. Then I was reading something on here about a guys lights would come on when trying to start his car, so I turned the lights on and tried the key and it started up fine.

I've read that a solder can dry out on the BCM and that's the cause for the banging of the dash to start it. But the new problem of it not starting at all is very annoying.

It's not the battery I had it checked and it's fine.

Is it the BCM? If so is it easy to replace? What is the retune procedure?

Or something else?

If you need any more info just ask.

Thank you :)

My eb done this, one of the relays in the bcm were stuck open so I pulled apart the relay casings and cleaned/ separated the contacts. Check the smartlock jewel and see if it's flashing in sequence like 4 flashes pause or something like that

I'm not sure about the headlight method though.
