Hi guy I have a 1998 el falcon that will turn over but will not start has intermediate spark sometimes its there sometimes it not, have replaced the coil and the fuel pump
Symptoms: Will start and drive, die turn key all the way off turn and turn back on and will start again, if your travelling down the highway sitting on 100 it will die for 5 seconds and start again without turning the key all most like it role starts but its auto.
Towed to the mechanic who replaced the coil and fuel pump and still no luck

it may be the tfi module in the dizzy. eb to el (mpfi) will work in your car.

starting back up while rolling is "natural" if the turbine spins fast enough it has enough force to turn over the engine, that's how a auto can be tow started.

The mechanic has put a new dizzy in and still no cigar.

is there power at coil & injectors when it won't start may have faulty ecm relay - -did mechanic check if dizzy gear was damaged - try another ECU
