Hello, i have got myself a EF falcon that has a airbag fault.

The fault code that its giving out is 42, looking that up here tells me Front Crash Sensor Feed/Return Open Circuit. I checked out the plug on the sensor and all looked good, i couldn't reset the light fault remained. Next i tried a sensor from the wrecker changed it over hooked it all up tried resetting the code and still wont reset. I have heard it might be the clock spring but hold my doubts to that as the code points to the front sensor.

i had thought of pulling the globe out but the annoying beeping prevents that.

Any advice on trying to fix the problem or point me in the right direction other than what i have tried and done, i don't want to keep throwing parts at it to try fix it.
would disconnecting the module completely cause any other problems? Other than airbag not functioning?
