Hi Guys,

recently brought the mrs a sy tezza and today it flashed up a code on the airbag light. either 19 or 91.

so far it might be related to the clock spring or airbag itself.

if so, is the ba/bf falcon clock springs the same as the territorys?

and if i have the code definition wrong can somone that may know correct me? thanks.

Code 19 is a general flash code for front airbags - can be drivers or passengers side even if no passenger airbag, will have a resistor fitted instead of airbag which can open circuit - advice to get scanned as this will give you the correct side - ring spare parts regarding suitability of BF clockspring etc.which I think is same......

cheers for the reply.

only reason im thinking clock spring is when i searched there is only a couple threads and they say very likely clock spring or maybe a loose connection.

also i noticed the other day when the terry was started it was fine but as soon as the steering wheel was turned the airbag light started flashing. maybe coincidental?

Indicates faulty clock spring , suggest checking with spare parts but as far as can recall was same as bf , make sure to centre steering and clock spring so that clock spring does not tighten to much when turning wheel and break . disconnect battery for 30 minutes or so before working on airbag systems. Note... Light should go out but code will remain in memory of module need scan tool to clear but airbag should operate normal....
