Hi guys

Looking at buying a ed wagon, the person selling has hooked the battery up the wrong way round and tried to start it.

I hooked a battery up to it tonight, it cranks over but no fire.

I havent checked the fuses yet.

Fuel pump primes, I have checked for spark and have no spark

Has anyone had dealings with this happening?

think its something along the lines of - replace fuses & fusible links & maybe the ecu? ... not 100% sure on that

check all fuses first with a test light across each end of fuse and check for power at alternator first as suggested by Mad2

So purchased car. Only needed a coil. Dont know how the fella hadnt fried more stuff. Everything works and runs excellent.

The look on his face when it fired up first go with a new coil was awesome, he couldnt believe it.

Now just to sell it on to fund other projects
