Hi guys
Got a problem with my el xr6 that I installed climate control in .done the conversion around 5 years ago ,it worked perfectly until the other day . When I start the car up the CC screen wont turn on , it's not a bulb as the fans wont come on and no buttons work . its like it's not getting any power to the module . Had a search online many other have had the same issue but no one has fixed it . Is there a fuse I can check or relay . I checked the a/c relay under the header tank but I think that relay turns off the clutch when on full throttle . Cheers

can you swap it around with another cc ? I had the same issue with the buttons sometimes working as well and just swap the guts out of it as I had painted the plastic.

I haven't got to that stage yet ,but I think it's all I can do . Haven't been able to find a fuse or relay .
Since it happened Ive read alot about the cc module not working

pretty sure its a 5-10 minute job to rip the cc out to replace it, with mine I think that the circuit board or some connection on it had fried as soon as I swap them over, it was back to normal

I'll take it out and have a look at it . Its not getting power so as you said could be a dodgy connection .

Where did you source the power from when you fitted it originally?
ford-technical-document-adding-climate-control-d8 There is a fuse spot for CC on the fusepanel.

It was all plug and play from what I remember.
i removed the dash fitted a climate control heater box and used the loom and BCM from a EL Ghia . Cheers I'll have a read of that .

The way I have converted the car to CC , using all factory bits . I would assume it would be fused using the CC fuse ?
Anyway I'll check the cc fuse

Should be, as you've said you used an EL Ghia loom.
When you turn it on and off, you should be hearing the vaccy solenoid (near the glovebox)click every time.

Not yet I haven't had a chance yet , but it did turn back on after 30mins the other day for the first time in a few weeks ,
So I'm thinking must be a loose connection in the module .I did check fuse and it was fine . When I turn the headlights on the backlights in the screen come on Sonita getting power to the module just won't send power to turn the screen on and fan won't come on either .
