I need some info on a el Dissy to give to my tuner . He's not sure what ignition to select .
Does 36 degrees have anything to do with the Dissy .?

pretty sure my car is the first falcon hes done, 90% of the cars he tunes are rotarys

your tuner is probably asking about trigger options.
the distributor outputs one pulse per ignition event at 10* BTDC. depending on what ecu hes planning on using he will need to set it up accordingly and verify it is correct before and after the ecu is installed |

apparently 36 degrees is the timing used in chevy v8's

ah ok..... in all honesty id advise against using an interceptor, and use a full stand alone ecu, you will save a lot of headaches in doing it this way

Yeah I wish I now used a full stand alone .
This will do the job for now , havnt had any issues with it yet .

Now I know what to ask .
There's trigger edge I can select rising or falling . I'm certain it uses falling . And trigger type . I'm guessing 36 minus 1 motronic (ford) is the one ?

for a dizzy set up the trigger should be set to rising.
as for the trigger type that 36-1 is for ef or au with crank sensor it means 36 teeth with 1 missing.. what other settings is there to choose from? |
