Hi Guys
l wander if l could get some help please
l just brought a 1995 ford Fairmont
a day later l went to unlock the car with the remote
and it would not work so l unlocked it with the key
this set the alarm off so l disconnected the batter
l then pulled the emobilizer fuse out and put it back in
this fixed most thongs except the remote only unlocks the
boot now when it should unlock the door so l have to do it manually
with the key.
Does anybody now how to reset the key remote so when u press the
door button it unlocks the door not the boot?
Regards Paul

new battery in remote
check fuses in under dash fuse box
check fuses at alarm module
do you have another remote to try
reprogram remote if genuine ford -doors closed accessory position - push rear demist switch 3 times -then push any button on remote - key off
possible bem problem

is it a ford remote or to suit a aftermarket alarm system - possibly post a pic of remote
have you checked fuses at alarm module

does central locking lock and unlock from switch on dash

procedure was for genuine ford remotes only
key to accessory position and stays in....

does remote lock doors
possible faulty BEM
possible faulty remote
possible faulty alarm module
