Hi guy wondered if anyone can shed some light on the problem i have ?
i just bought an EL Fairmont ,it came with the ignition switch removed as the guy couldnt find the keys ,now i replaced the ignition switch with one i had from another el ,switched on the ignition waited for the smart lock to stop flashing but it doesn't stop even after an hour .
So i replaced the bcm and tried again but it just won't code to the new ignition switch ,so i changed it with another no joy the car is imobilised smart lock symbol flashing fast ,can anybody help please :(

When you reset the Smartlock did you wait for the door locks to cycle? When they do you have 30 seconds to turn the engine on or you've got to got through the whole process again.
