Hi,

The Fans come on depending on Temp and AC settings. Look at the resource Tab above, there is some info. It seems common for these not to run the Fans / on high. A reset of the ECU may fix it. A few people have done some Mods to change how they operate, but make sure they work as intended first.

They will kick on for a second or less when you go to reds on startup but it is like a self test. Once this happens they shut off till up to temp.

ok so they wont come on unless its up to running temp . reason for all the questions is . the person who wired my car up in the first place has done a lot of dodgy s**t . so im trying to figure out what the thermos do normally . causes its been so long sense its been done . ive wired in a new bit of loom to take them back to normal .

Yes, ECU gets the temp signal form the temp sender then activates the thermos as required.

You could use a davis Craig swith to activate the thermos. Benj still overates that system on his wagon.

or you can buy a trident "tfs200" thermal switch and fit it in the thermostat housing to activate fans independently, this was how I had mine on my ed...

Hi,

Also keep in mind they will need to run when the AC is on and you are stopped in traffic.
