I have a Ford Falcon wagon XT 2004 (BA I think?). The control button for the fan stopped working after the control panel was hit (trying to load a long piece of wood in the car, the wood hit the panel...). The aircon button still works. When I turn the car on, the fan is on, on max, always. I unplugged the fan cable under the dashboard on the passenger side. On hot days I plug in the fan cable but then can't unplug unless I stop the car, get out, go to passenger side and unplug it. Also, the connection is difficult to reach, not a pleasant task on a hot day. Question - is there a cable extension I can buy so the connection is more accessible?

possibly not. but if you were local i could remove, replace & refit the icc as i have a board here from a XT [to replace damaged items].

Get a auto electrician to make a extension to the wiring at the fan motor itself make it long enough to reach it from drivers side with a joiner or heavy duty switch in one of the wires where you can reach it
