Hi,

I used ForSCAN on my Ford AUII to see if any issues.

Today I found this code.

I'm not that savvy when it comes to diagnostics. I took my vehicle to a garage to check (supposedly) my aircon. All I was told it was low on gas and took them a long time just to get it to work at 9 degrees. I had cold air once again but not sure if the problem was fixed.

Here is the DTC and its' diagnosis.

What would be my next step / option?

DTC P1463
Module: PCM
Description A/C Pressure Sensor insufficient Pressure Change
Alternative Explanation: Air Conditioning Sensor (ACP) Insufficient Pressure Change.
Detailed Explanation: Each time the A/C clutch engages, the PCM is looking for a pressure change in the refrigerant. If the change in pressure is outside of the calibration the DTC will set.
Possible Causes:
A/C system mechanical failure
Open ACP or VREF circuit
A/C sensor damage
A/C system electrical failure
A/C clutch always engaged
Diagnostic Aides: Verify A/C system function, including refrigerant charge.

Maybe its an old code from when air con failed.
Did you delete the code to see if it returns?

@ littleslash,

No, I did not delete the code but will do so and see if it returns.

Thanks
