I have a problem. My car won't start but if I jump start it ,it will start the battery is charging off the alternater is charging about 14.93v to 15.00v. When turn it off and pull the keys out the dash lights stay on. Could this be the ignition. please help
 it a EB II with an ED motor and gearbox in and EL ECU and AU injecters

Eb falcon? Have you checked all fuses and relays?

Jump.start the car and once running disconnect the negative terminal on battery it could be alternator? If stalls its alternator if continues alt is fine
My au had a massive spit of symptoms from dash lights to running rough from a d**k alt let us know mate

Visual inspection of the alt, is it covered in p/s fluid, oil or crap?

Check all wiring on starter motor for loose corroded connection? All plugged in?

How olds the battery?when you turn the key, does it click or crank at all (click as in solenoid engaging) with a hammer tap the solenoid while turning key, try arcing a screw driver across the starter terminals and see if she cranks

Dash light should not stay on with keys removed you have a short somewhere get it checked if they are still on

The lights may have been on due to the ground cable maybe not on battery tight enough or corroded to begin with therefore not grounding or even chargin for that matter but since batt replacement may have been rectified?
@ 92EBII- is the problem with the dash lights fixed?
