Hi guys, I've just bought an NA Fairlane and a fair bit of the dash works - but a fair bit doesn't... things that don't work are the whole air cond / heater / climate control - no heat, no air, no temp readout, nothing out of the vents.. radio's not working but I think that's just the security code so not too fussed about that.. the other weird thing is that the digital speedo etc works, but its not lit up...you can see the numbers ( just) and they work but do these use a backlight?

Anyone have any ideas? I only bought it yesterday and its great to drive but its freezing in Adelaide at the moment!! some heat would be nice!

Oh and the drivers power window doesn't work - you can hear a vague click when hitting the switch ( relay maybe?) but no window action ( other 3 are fine) - what do you reckon? fuse? motor? I've never owned a later model Ford and know nothing about their electrics... (yeh, I know, 1991 isn't a late model but the newest Ford I've owned before this is my `73 XB...

Could be the relay for the climate control, it might be stuffed. As for the power window, it could be the switch buggered or it could be the window motor. You would need to unplug the window motor & feed it direct power to see if it works or not.
