Hey i need advice on how to change a head light on a el xr6 as a rock had smashed it open.

The head light is on the drivers side. Can i replace/ change it through the engine bay or do i need to take off the front bumper.

whats the best way to tackle the job?

thanks in advance.

If the XR apron is part of the bumper it's a bumper off job... I can access my ED ones because the XR apron comes off separate to the bumper... The indicators mount differently on EF/EL too I think... You remove the indicator and there is a bolt behind it for the bumper from memory... On my ED the indicator comes out as part of the light assembly... Then you'll be able to unclip the low or high (whichever is cracked) lamp and replace...

Cheers,
Tim

More people paid for a ride in a VT commodore then an AU Falcon so the VT is superior.
Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Is the head light piece attached to both lights or do they come off seperate?
