Yep... Most people fail to realise that even under normal circumstances a lot things turn off during the starting process... Like the CD player for instance... SO when the solenoid fails to pull in, with the key on start it just looks gloomy inside the car...

Im not normally one to recommend `snake oil' type cures, but here's one I'll happily recommend - Inox. Little bottle, costs about 9 bucks in Supercheap where the batteries are, you put it in equal quantities in each cell,( obviously with enough distilled water as well to cover the plates) charge the battery, and its like you've put a new battery in - mine was barely cranking (351 clevo) , put this stuff in and was staggered at the speed it cranked at. That was 2 years ago, still cranks like a psycho.. Since then I've done about 4 other cars, works brilliant every time....

Dont use Inox....use Inox battery conditioner....Inox is like RP7 and you can get it with or without lanolin...I can second what Tearlejc has recomended...it's one of the additives that really does work.

Good luck getting it back to life mate....but you better look into why it was empty...usually a sign that your alternator is way over charging, unless it was tipped over?

update:

Let battery charge all night however I put it in this morning and still nothing.. I pulled out the starter relay from my ute and put it in the place of the sedans however still nothing..

The battery warning light comes on as soon as you put the key in and turn it to accessories or on so im hoping its still the battery.. the battery that was in my ute is very tricky to use in the sedan because of how it is wired.

instead of having the bolt hole running length ways so you pass the bolt through like this >---->

It is vertical so it has to be put on the battery terminal like this

I have yet to find a way to do it with the cables in the sedan because they just dont bend that way.

Im seriously stumped and I have to wait for my neighbor to get home from work this evening to actually test it with a multimeter.

I reckon it's fair to say your battery is toast mate. Not knowing what the terminal setup is (cause I havent seen them) are you able to drop by supercheap and pickup some normal round post terminals and swap them?....do you have another battery there you can swap or another car you can jump start from?

out of interest look inside your battery at the plates.....are they all nice and straight or warped/buckled etc?

you have blown your 100amp fuseable link it's in the fuse box behind the battery may need a 10mm spanner to get it out and replace it
