Hey everyone,
Im in the process of putting together a HUD for my XR8 which will be displayed using a fixed LCD or similar display on the dash and projected onto the windscreen.
What I am trying to figure out is the outputs. Ive got a ELM327 bluetooth OBD2 module which I was going to get the RPM and speedometer outputs and send them to an Arduino board. Or was considering directly tapping into the PCM wires which I am having trouble trying to find the correct coloured wires.
I have found this so far from ecliptech.com i-Shift module which says that the V8 models, the tan/brown wire is the RPM output but I cannot find anywhere which wire is the speedometer output.
Im not sure which method would be a faster/safer output to the arduino board without frying anything.
If anyone has done anything similar please let me know.
Cheers
