A week ago I installed new subs in the car and everything was fine. Saturday I drove home from work car was fine. Turn back on two hours later and the there is no power going to the subs and the wipers are going even with the switch in the off position. Pulled the wiper fuse out to make it drive-able but there is still no power to amps.

Has anyone had issues like this regarding their wipers? Is there a relay I can replace or something similar or is it more like a wiper motor failure ?

sounds like bodgy wiring to me....
so there is no power from the thick cable from the battery to the amp?

ps, this has nothing to do with a 6 cyl engine, just because your car is a 6 cyl dont mean you post all things in the 6 cyl forum..

thread moved..

haha, I wasn't sure at all where to post it. Much appreciated!

I haven't had a chance yet to sit down and check all the wiring properly, it could be a short at some point. But just curious if anyone had had a similar issue regarding the wipers if it's a faulty motor or something else.

You were right, my dodgy wiring. The ignition cable from the amp had been caught in the back seat hinge and had shorted it out. This wire was tapped into a wire for the wipers and that's what had caused them to stay on. Fixed up the wiring and now all works as it should.

Cheers for the help.
