i bought a set of narva h3 blue plus 90 bulbs for my xg xr6 headlights expecting them to be blue but when i installed them they were just as yellow as the original lights, i feel they are a little brighter but im after a whiter look.
are these lights not suppose to have a white look? and if so what bulbs would you recommend
im after a brighter light that will look white when looking at the headlights

"The brightest" and "the whitest" don't go together unfortunately.

The 'plus' range of bulbs are much brighter, but as soon as you start adding a blue filter it starts to take away some of the output. It looks whiter, but the actual performance is degraded a little.

For white output you want to look at something like Philips diamond vision, or platinum.

if you're that worried. Put 6000k HIDs in but they're illegal and can blind oncoming drivers.

Thanks guys for the replies I'm not to concerned about brightness as the original lights are bright enough just want a clean white look as I have blue angel eyes and the yellow light doesn't look good with them, I'll look into those bulbs mentioned.
Thanks!

Before I could go out and buy the Phillips diamond vision bulbs I spoke to a bloke at a car meet that had hid's,
After talking to him and seeing them in person I'm going to go with the hid's
Thanks again for the help and suggestions

Given that the XG Was based on the XF, There is a chance that the headlights arent getting 12v - Voltage drop across the wiring was very very common on XD and XE, and Im not sure if it was fixed on XF. Relays, or if they are already there replacing them may help. Best sort that problem before getting your HID's too

Okay so I got hid's very happy with them they're heaps bright and look real good
After reading your comment on voltage drop it made me think I noticed the hid's when turned on either low beams or high beams they took maybe 1-2 seconds to get to they're peak brightness I'll check tomorrow with a multimeter
Just to be clear if the voltage (car turned off) is bellow 12v then I should replace the relays?

That's HIDs for you. They have to warm up when first turned on

Which is also why many cars use Standard Bulbs for High Beam, and HID's only for low beam.
