Hi all ,

I have a problem with my BA every now and then (twice in 2 weeks) the engine check light comes on and throws it in limp mode.
but when i take it to my mechanic he can't figure the problem because the ecu is not storing a code ,has any one experienced this or may be a idea of the issue.

I suppose my question is is every time the engine check light is illuminated is there a code stored , or can the light still come on for non coded ecu Faults .

would appreciate your input

regards
Nathan

Has anyone mentioned a bad ignition switch problem? I had similar issues and I found it was the ignition switch, I replaced the steering column for a late model BF one and it fixed my issue.

Yeah have the same problem with the wife's BA except we are used to it -after starting it the key has to be turned back a bit for everything to come good, its the starter key return spring in ours, have another column but can't be bothered doing it till the wife b**ch about it
Cheers Johnny.
