I've finished 2 of them so far.
Will have at least another 8 done over the weekend.

I take it the list is in order ?
If so could the top 10 please email me and we can make arrangements.

May be a little delay on the rest. I now (as of this morning) need to be in Sydney on Monday... should be back on Wed or Thurs night (I live in Melb (who wouldn't) but my job is actually in Sydney so I commute). It was looking good for me to be home all week :(

Please excuse the delay.... but I need to work to fuel the XR8.

You should do what I do....
I get mine from a wrecker, pull it apart, carefully fold out the cable retainer wings, break off the wire, solder a new wire in and then re-crimp the wings back over.... leaves an effective wire connection that fits back into the body.
I use this method for a whole range of automotive connectors (where one cannot get new pins).

Hope that helps....

Cheers, that's what I have been doing. Spent $30 on a loom, and hacked it up.

Fairmont1998....
It will work on Engine, Transmission and ABS.
There is a point somewhere in 1998 where the AirBag access was changed from OBD1 style to a two way data link.
Not sure exaclty which month that happened in, but, you should assume that my unit will not access AirBag in any 1998 build.
Hope that clarifies.

I'm interested muzza, no rush tho, so pm me when everyone else is fixed up. even if you want to send the unit as a DIY thing, that would be fine too. just need instructions lol.
cheers and thank you for taking the time to do this.

That's 20 in all. I can only do 20 at this stage.... only have 20 connectors.
I'll order some more connectors, PCBs and cases and will do some more units when they arrive.... I was going to stick some of these on Ebay anyway.

Thanks to all for your interest and support on this.

Dont worry, it will work. I use the one I purchsed off muzza over 3 years regularly on EB to EL. It will definately be able to pull engine, transmission and ABS codes.

The only grey area is whether it can pull airbag codes, and that depends on what airbag computer Ford has fitted to your car. It seems there is no solid answer as to when they changed the way the airbag computers spat out their error codes.

If they do, then the indicator on your cluster will flash the fault, which is pretty much the same codes as you would get if were able to pull them from the airbag ECU.

Guys, the "Backorder List" is a good idea....
Backorder List:-
1. twr7cx

BTW.... I am really surprised at the interest... you've had me working hard !

I have asked my suppliers to get me more connectors..... I've suggested 20. I should hear back in a few days.
I can only buy the cases in lots of 25.... will order those when the connectors are confirmed.
Another 20 PCBs were coming through anyway.
All the rest of the bits are available from a range of sources.... no probs there.

So, if all goes well I'll be able to supply more (I still want to put some on Ebay !! $$!!) ... I'll keep the forum informed.
