we took my ecu out, and had a look at the box, it was sealed but some one has scribbled the last letter on the code and written a diff number

which indicates it has been out before or been swapped at the factory,


very strange why it would off been scribled out in pen and changed the number.

we plugged the cop ecu and chip in all the accessories work, etc but it will not kick over.

everything works on the ecu, but she wont start just sit there trying to start.

do they use special coil pack maybe

is there another comp i will have to change

on the bright side of thinks i picked up a set of motovaiter extractors and which came with it was 3 inch high flow cat and pipe from extractors to where connects to rest of exhaust

Ok quick question any Idea when either were built as they changed to smart shield partway through series 1.
So if ones smartlock, and the others smartshield it wont turn over.

Yeah but they changed over in may 99 between smartlock and smartshield.

the ECU and the BCM, and the ignition lock need to be paired. If you change either one you will need to retrain the whole thing, turn ignition on and leave it on the reds for 1/2 hr. All AU smartsheilds will need a trip to Ford or to a decent sparky with the right scan tool

its all right he is taking it to a guy in melbourne to have it cleared of its code and re programmed to make sure it is working properly before i buy it and put it in
