Hi,

I've seen this covered a few times but had had trouble deciphering information from the threads I have been able to search. I have all the mechanical components but have run into troubles with the electrics, hence have put it on hold while I find the required info. Started out purchasing a conversion kit (inclusive of ecu, bcm, pats and key/barrel) though turns out the BA and BF looms differ quite a bit so this wasn't able to be utilised easily.

CAN THE BF AUTO ECU ACTUALLY BE SWITCHED TO 5spd MANUAL (contact of anyone able to do this in Gold Coast/Brisbane if possible)?

WHAT MODOFICATIONS ARE NEEDED TO THE BF AUTO LOOM TO RUN THE MANUAL (I'm assuming reverse lights for a start!) ANY LINKS TO ECU PIN OUT INFO AND WIRING DIAGRAMS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! This project has already taken far too long due to some personal challenges and having lack of time to spend in the garage!

Regards,
JT

Hi JT,

the BF PCM [ecu] you have can be changed to suit the manual. however i cannot help with who from your area can help. as to the engine/box wiring, no idea [offhand] as i bought a complete engine/box loom for mine. i'm just waiting for a suitable box for mine as like you i have everything else [well i think so.... lol]

as to wiring etc ... checkout link. may need to become a member.

Brother done the same with His BF falcon and installed a 5 speed. To get around the PCM being wrong we just got the Auto disabled in the PCM, and from memory all fault codes related to the auto disabled.

a competent Tuner with Hp tuners should be able to do all you need.
i Highly recommend Bruce Heinrich? not sure on last name spelling haha at lonsdale in S.A. but that's a long way out for you and he prefers the car to be there.

RE the reverse lights we left the auto loom there (With the safety switch) still hooked up you could also bridge the required wires for the starter, and just cut the reverse wires to the box and hooked them or it to the switch on the manual boz
