Hi,

Is the plug located under the dash or in engine bay? a picture of the plug would be helpful.

If it's the diag plug i think your talking about, it's located at the bottom of the dash, just to the right of the steering column, a big white plug with pins on it.

Nah, IIRC EA's and EBI's are different from later models. From memory the plug is an upside down 'T', and lives around the brake booster area.

As snap0964 says it is located next to the brake booster on EB 1. mine had come loose and was dangling in the engine bay.

It should be located inside the car near where the fuses are.
