I have changed my EB 1 running gear and ECU for ED XR6 gear, will the dignostic codes still function correctly?

no they would diagnose as an ed duh! (i assume you tell the diagnostics person what you did)

Yes of course I did inform the mechanic of the changes. I know the ECU will give codes as as per an ED, the mechanic said his diagnostic tool was not getting any reading at all. So I'm trying to work out why the ECU isnt sending any signal.
