Hey I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm Mitch and live in the bush and i just have a question about my stocko 1990 EA Falcon.

Umm is it possible to put an aftermarket ECU in one, I now understand why we see few EA's on this website, its kind of stuck between EFI and carby with its dual point injection or whatever its called. I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this.

Thanks Mitch

get a multipult conversion, not all EA's came out with the crappy center point injection. for this you will need the multipoint ecu, intake manifold, throttle body ect. do a search as it has been covered many times

hey mitch and welcome to fordmods (FM)....just one thing. Is urs MPFI, EFI or carby? if its carby of EFI don't bother really...you should get an MPFI conversion if you don't have one. IF you do have an MPFI do some other more cheaper mods before putting an aftermarket ECU in cause it ain't going to do much unless u have parts that can cope with it. But you can always get one for future uses.

Someone correct me if im wrong here..

Alot of people get confused with the models available.
There were only 2... CFI and MPFi
both are fuel injected, cfi had 2 injectors in the throttle body and MPFi had 6 injectors along the rail, the MPFi had more power due to being able to distribute fuel to each cylinder at the same time.
Convert to MPi and go from there.
